Stuttgart Trip
Stuttgart - 1 Day Tour
Two weeks ago, on Thursday night, I decided to take a short break from my weekly internship routine which, I needed a lot to enjoy the wanderlust beauty of Stuttgart. Lots of my friends are residing in this beautiful place.
Luckily, I got a chance to meet my closest friend at his home in Suttgart, the most energetic, surprising, cosmopolitan holiday spot. The city has beautiful nightlife, restaurants, hotels and many more. On Friday night, after reaching his home, we planned to explore downtown Stuttgart which is famous for fun family events.
The nightlife of Konigstrasse is amazing because there are many bars and clubs, located in the heart of Stuttgart. For these reasons, we decided to visit the Latino club referred to as Havana, an incredible attraction for meeting Germans who have major interests in Latin culture and Latin dances. It is a must-visit site for hang-out, especially with some live music and dancing.
After having a peaceful sleep, the next day, we woke up with the sunshine. Spring was starting just two weeks ago, which was another great time for both of us to discover the city’s some interesting places for tourism. The trip began from the Schlossplatz, situated in the heart of downtown Stuttgart. My colleagues (Johnny & Juliana) were already present at the location. So, we met them and joined in sunbathing for two hours while laying down on the grass. Plus, we experienced that Germans commonly love sunshine during summer and springtime. Such moments are precious for them after surviving the harsh winter in Stuttgart.
While moving from Stuttgart, we walked around the Altstadt, which has a wide range of expensive to normal stores, ice cream parlors for shopaholics. The place offers beautiful surrounding markets, historic towns, old & new buildings. Stuttgart is one of the versatile cities that grabs the attention of young ones from its popular showrooms - Zara, H&M present in the Altstadt as well.
After spending a few hours in Altstadt, we started searching for relaxing places from TripAdvisor App. Finally, we found the soothing Feuersee Park for rest that is approximately 5-minute away from the Altstadt. Apart from it, there are magnificent restaurant-bars, lakes, church, situated in the middle to sit & feel relaxed. My friend Juliana received a gift from a flying pigeon, which seems too heavy. I didn't know how she handled it. At last moment, we went to see the breath-taking views of mountains that made my day memorable & joyous.
On my last day, we made a sudden plan to see Hohenzollern Castle through a train, which takes around one hour to visit from Stuttgart. As I was new to the place, it was a bit hard for me to get familiar with the train routes of Germany. At some stations, the wagons of the train separated & some continued on the way. It was the beginning of our adventurous trip where we missed the train & decided to stay at the station. I was disappointed that there was no bus running from the castle due to its location at Peak Mountain. That was not easy for us. Thanks to the guided tour met while walking through the hills. On that day, I went to the castle to return to Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz& made me ready for other weekend plans at work.
The great weekend gave me an unforgettable experience. If you are planning to arrive at the main station in Stuttgart’s, you can climb the 10-story tower before doing anything. It gives you a chance to see the panoramic views of the Swabian Alps. It will take time to reach Schlossplatz, which is also beneficial to discover Europe's Königstraße& shopping street. Now, this is the starting point where you can prefer a guided walking tour to find yourself in the historic center or travel by itself.
There is a new palace, three-winged Baroque buildings/govt houses, public tours that can be booked in advance. Furthermore, you can explore the Schillerplatz, monument, and St John’s Church. Stuttgart's Markthalle is suitable for eating delicious lunch, including getting an amaze of international specialties, garden accessories.
People who travel through cars, check out several places, like the Porsche museum, Staatsgalerie to experience real art. After visiting this place, you will never feel hungry, though Poffers Cafe serves a quick breakfast to savory treats.
The city library is the must-visit site for bookworms. Here, everything is fully furnished. In the evening, you can finish the day by drinking Schwarz-Weiß-Bar cocktails or opt wines &Swabian food from WeinstubeFrohlich, and Liebreich Croatian meals.
